Closing his eyes momentarily, a rush of euphoria simmered through his body. A slight breath of wind touched his face. He opened his eyes to behold Gabriel sitting beside him in tight leather pants. He wore a frilly, blood stained, white shirt, overlapped with a form-fitting black leather vest. Gabriel smiled sensuously, his deep dimples sending a rush of heat through Damien.
“You always disappear just when I want more of you.”
Gabriel smiled, and then laughed.
“I always liked you better when you smiled and laughed,” Damien confessed.
“I like your perseverance.” Gabriel laughed. “Even when you experienced hardship, you kept trying to keep young and happy. That’s why I returned. Remember the first time I cut your hair?”
“Yes- I thought your gestures were slightly flamboyant.”
“That came with my trade. You should’ve suspected that. I asked you to have a cappuccino with me downstairs, when I was ready for a break.”
“You brought me to my senses. I thought you were the right man.”
“I was infatuated with you,” Gabriel confessed. “You were so butch and manly; I could smell your hormones. That turned me on.”
“How’d I send you away? What'd I do so terribly wrong?”
